    ... we rode 845 kms from Bristol, Virginia through West Virginia, Maryland and finally Pennsylvania straight up Interstate 81. It was overcast all day and we did encounter some drizzling rain but only for about an hour.

    Friday, June 27 2014 *I will upload photos, when I have good service, I tried but it took 15 minutes for 5 photos! And they looked REALLY bad, so I erased them.* Woke up to an annoying sound in the hotel...kinda like a low sounding alarm....just enough so you can hear it, but not loud enough to tell where it is comming from.     Woken by alarm. However, I had alarm set for 8.30 instead of 7.30 and Gab already gone for the van before we woke. I had reheated pasta and cold pizza from last night for breakfast. Left about 10 to go to Palmerton Pennsylvania to see our friend Steve Obremski. GPS 'Judy Garmon' took us on lots of back roads as well as highways.     ... I had a Pepsi, and a Gator Aid. He was a cool guy, we talked a bit about his retirement, a few other things, and about his other trail magic ventures. Thank you Web Catcher for a the snacks, drinks, and good conversation!     ... had to tie him up about 40 feet away....stupid.....what the hell is wrong with the people in charge of that park?? The first day of hiking was great, Erwin did awesome and I really am glad to have him with me :). He is the same as always, just happy to be by my side, exploring every area.....and peeing on everything...lmbo! We headed out early, Erwin actually ate breakfast!
