... post office to open at 12:30. Sadly, the package wasn't there yet, so I had to wait until the next day to get it. I had already planned on staying the night in nearby Hamburg, PA, so it wasn't too large an inconvenience, but the weird hours of the post office meant that I would be very late getting out on the trail the next morning. ... guides were in kayaks leading, following and mixing with the rafts to help as needed.
It was a great trip - a three hour drive from home to the Whitewater Adventure Center, 13 miles on the river, and 3 more hours on the road home. .....I was dead! ......but thanks to sunscreen, not too burnt :)

Arrived at Casa Calma Hotel at 6am. Avery small boutique hotel that is enviromentaly friendly. Easy to spot in the street as the whole hotel is covered with a hanging garden!
Don Laine Campground was one of the nicest campgrounds we have been in since we left Roseville California. It was in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania just north of Allentown. The campground was situated on the top of a hill and you could see the all the hills below us and they were in full fall color. This was a terrific campground.
