    Spent less time in Esperance than expected. Just couldn't shake the rain. However, we took a chance and headed to Cape LeGrand National Park. Stunning spot with white sand beaches and granite cliffs coming out of the ocean. Would be a wonderful camping spot in summer. Then we were off through Norseman to Kalgoorlie. Real Wild West town. More pubs than than any town I've seen. The super pit gold mine is 2 kms from the centre of town. ...

    Left Dubai late arrived Heathrow on time and then the fun began. Easy passage through immigration, short wait for bags but nothing out if the ordinary. Customs officers too busy gossiping to even acknowledge us. Found the rental car desk but were directed to bus stop 21. The chaos outside the terminal was indescribable ! Queues of cars sitting and honking their horns but not moving anywhere. Long story short it took us 2.5 hrs to get our car and be on the road. Good thing is that ...

    ... of cane fields across the river, out to sea and west to some dim distant ranges. We didn't have long to dally here so sadly no photos as we had to return the car by 1620!
    We actually had a few days in Bundaberg due to the timing with dropping Bell to the plane and us needing to fly to Brisbane. We spent a couple of days exploring on bikes and then preparing the boat to leave it for the next 3 weeks to fend for itself in the allotted berth.

    ... town while I waited. 'It's so relaxing and peaceful' I was told. It was the complete opposite to peaceful as there were hundreds of little children running around on a school trip.
