Well the temp has dropped again from 18 to 7, with rain clouds circling. I dragged myself out of bed at 1030 again, and headed out. My apartment is so warm, I didn't realise how icy it was outside. Today I was off to union square and the west side of Manhattan towards Chelsea. Union Square has been a site for poltical and social protests since the 1800s. ... time it's different - it's the 'bedroom' to many of the homeless who settle down on their cardboard boxes for the night. There is a cabin open serving hot soup and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to them. The woman serving it up has a soft kind, concerning voice.
