Pretty much my last day in New York...7 degrees and wearing normally that would be by choice but today it was for practicality. It was freezing...but not legs...legs don't get cold from ankles to knees...but my hands were freezing. It is nice, but I don't think I would bother to queue up for it again- basically a soft-serve cone that is choc-dipped. The only difference is this one also has some salted caramel thrown in- it's called a "Salty Pimp". After all that excitement we are done-in and head back to the apartment to do some planning for our last destination- ...

Today we visited a supportive housing unit up in Harlem known as the Dorothy Day. It houses 200 men, women and children. The woman heading this up is Ellen Baxter, who was really inspiring in a very understated and humble way. She was actually at the helm of the early 1980s legal action which fought for the "The Right To Shelter." So when they won, the state began to shelter the homeless by turning military armouries into temporary ...
