What this program has most definitely achieved is a stop to inter generational homelessness through education of children in those families. Some of these children, now 11 years on have managed to not only graduate but have gone on to gain scholarships at some of the most prestigious colleges including Brown and Columbia. After lunch we headed to the newly developed and yet to ...

Chris here! It's bacon day! Been looking forward to bacon since we arrived! I don’t think Lucy and Rich were that enamoured with the bacon but I had two very large helpings with some scrambled egg. After breakfast we took yoghurts, apples, bananas (well, Lucy took a banana – I obviously hate the awful yellow ***** in skins), and little cinnamon cakes for snacks later. Then we headed out on the subway to the Statue of Liberty boat cruise in Battery Park.
