... my other cousin and his family for the first time! Hopefully, from here I'll be able to make a day trip to the beaches of Normandy.

From here, I'll head to Geneva and stay with my aunt and uncle until I head to Beaumont, FR to begin my long stay with my dad's cousin and family.

Fresno is the raisin capital of the world ...Sunmaid comes from here. Till we read that in the guide book we thought Fresno was dull with lots of railway sidings! We took no photos... There was nothing to remember. We went into Walmart to stock up on breakfast and picnic bits and people listened to us speak ...not on the tourist trail I think! Buying petrol ...sorry gas ...was a challenge. First you go ...

... to be honest, we were a little apprehensive about today but when we got on our coach, eventually, we were not the only white people and we met some Germans and some Mexicans. The coach company had put many of the Chinese onto their own bus and we have an American tour guide,who only speaks in English, which makes it so much easier. We didn't realise how difficult we would find it with everyone speaking in other languages and ...

... along the side of the road dwarfing anything nearby. We decided to walk to the General Sherman which was about a mile hike first down the mountain and then back up. High altitude hiking was not our thing. The General Sherman is one of the largest redwoods in the park.

Unfortunately they are doing major road work in the park and we were twice stopped for over thirty minutes to wait for ...
