... fortunate to say in the four and a half months the only things that got stolen were a loaf of bread and some cookies. There were a few scary situations, a time we almost didn't get to go on a train to Barcelona and almost got stranded in the middle of nowhere with nowhere to stay and cried and begged our way with the help of a Portuguese couple. The time a man was quite insistent on speaking and staring at us and on the same train as us to the point we were ...

      Fond farewells

... I got a good laugh a few minutes after the passed and not only did it rain, we also got hailed on. I like to think that the hailstones were so small that it counts as snow. Overall it hasn't been nearly as cold as I was expecting. The rain was normal, but according to the forecast I'm taking it away with me. I caught a taxi to Heathrow from the office after a fairly busy day and didn't have much time to think about what I'm about to embark on. Then got a ticket on Jet Airways from Delhi to Kathmandu. Wow good deal. So I arrive at T3 ...

... no room for bikes. It was a horrible place and we were struggling to hear the guy that we were talking to as announcements kept going off on the PA system, so we were glad to get out but had to wait for the explanation that if we missed our train then we'd not get a refund. As the day was stuffed and as it was getting to the point in the trip when we think about getting our bikes back home. We'd found the same issues trying to contact the airlines that we had ...

We're tired but elated; we've just landed at Heathrow, where we'll have a four hour layover. Thank goodness for Joe's membership in the Admiral's Club, where we can hang out. what a nice place- full stretch out lounge chairs (Joe's asleep next to me) and all the food is free- fresh mushroom soup, finger sandwiches. we'll rest here for about two hours -If you leave the airport, you could easily miss your flight four hours later. So ...
