    ... 5th great grandfather) dated 10 March 1718 – nearly 300 years old – was particularly exciting.

    However, we had to get back to London for our last commitment, a family get together to celebrate a significant birthday of one of Roger's cousins. Also some maintenance of his parent's grave.

    The car had to be returned and our easyJet plane was awaiting us to whisk us away for our last leg.

    We have had a 24 hour layover in London before we head to Nairobi in the morning. We arrived here at around 7:30 this morning and hit the group running!     ... and those white flimsy complimentary slippers that are made for Lepricorns with two left feet.... Above the low "whoosh" of the slightly over specified air con system in our room, I can make out the familiar low engine rumble of aircraft engines on full thrust only a few hundred yards away.
