Tuesday, our first day with Rob, we rode through Tamarindo and down the unpaved road to Playa Langosta to the south. Along the way, we stopped at the business owned by Rob’s wife. She sells all manner of beach supplies and arranges adventure tours and fishing trips for visitors. She and Rob have a five year old son who started school the day we arrived.

After a popped bicycle tire, a ride to the beautiful Playa Conshal, some local eats, our trip to the beach has come to an end.

Our last days we spent exploring conshal and even a private beach by our hotel that had black sand! In Costa Rica the beach area seems to be bipolar in terms of socio-economic status. We took to the water about an hour into the trip. Snorkeling we were able to see a variety of the sea creatures. There was even a small yellow fish who was following me around because of the yellow in my bathing suit.

After snorkeling we boarded the boat again and had some snacks while the sun set.
