... the way we hit some pretty high winds and eventually a torrential downpour that didn't last long but, provided the most beautiful rainbow ever (see photo:) Before we entered the campground we needed to go under a bridge that was only 11Ft., problem is the RV is 12'10...so we sat there in the middle of the road pondering what to do. Finally, we realized that there was a sandbar to the left that had been dug out and appeared to be the way to get under it. No ...

... made good time through Chattanooga, which is one of the reasons we left so early. Surprisingly, Knoxville wasn't bad either. We even stopped so the girls could enjoy a sit down breakfast while Dave took care of a last minute conference call for work. Now, it should be smooth sailing right up until we hit rush hour in DC. Ugh. Already dreading it...

And now - we sleep, or at least try to. After 15 months of planning, the trip is now 7 hours away. I've checked on the passports about 9 times in the past hour. There's nothing left to check off the to-do list, nothing more to pack, nothing else to plan or research. Here's hoping it all goes off the way we imagined it!
