... my luck I jumped on an uptown bus and ended up stumbling across a ferry headed downtown to Brooklyn Bridge.
It was rather fresh outside- roaring wind on the river and 7 degrees but the day was sunny and it was worthwhile being outside on the ferry. Manhattan is sooooooooooo long! Goes on forever!.
Jumped off the ferry and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge back towards the financial district.

My fist day of activities was a day I will never forget. I was in awe of the City, its so big there are skyscrapers on each side of the street, it's just like the movies. If you like the city life then this is the place to be.
