      ... miners arrived in their thousands of ships, these actually got abandoned right where they were moored. They got used for housing for a while but in the end the city just developed over them and you can still see a mast from one of these ships sticking out of the ground today.       ... Got a very helpful woman on the desk of another gate who switched us premium economy!! Winning! Maybe that was the curbside guy's plan all along - I don't think so. Caught a cab from the airport. Firstly the driver didn't know the address & then didn't have GPS. Lucky I did get the US SIM card or we might still be driving around the car park!       ... br> A Walk of the Golden Gate Bridge rounded out the afternoon, Noela did very well despite the fear of heights. Interesting that the Golden gate bridge was the second bridge built the Bay Bridge is bigger older and is called the jealous big brother as it misses all the tourism hoopla.
      The day finished with a classic Italian meal in Little Italy.
