A stressful morning trying to book a hotel in Nashville, somewhere between 'safe' and 'affordable' (notice how I left 'cheap' off the list). I had a nice breakfast in Bowling Green in the hotel, but the delay of booking tonight's accommodation meant I missed the main thing I wanted to do today. :( I'd been recommended to visit Mammoth Caves, so it was back up the I65 to the national park. The best, funnest tour was Grand Avenue, but that only goes once a day ...

Nashville is a "must do" of the American west. They are a long way from Texas but this city is country heaven. Even if you are not a fan of both types of music (they play country and western music) there is a plepifa of things to do. So many activities in fact that we can not list them all, so here are our favourites: Tour the United Record Press - a vinyl record ...

Ok, enough emotional stuff ;) Here's my plan! I'll be in Edinburgh for a few days, which I'm super excited about. Scotland has been on the list for awhile, and while I don't think ...

The second we decided that we were gonna visit Nashville I called up a friend of mine from Miami, Barrett Johnson, and asked her if we could crash at her place. I hadn't seen her for about 3 years but she was more then happy to host us. We got to Nashville fairly late and none of us had done laundry since Chicago so we decided to stay in that first night and do all of our laundry. It was great to know that we FINALLY had lots of clean clothes. Barrett was ...

Where have we been for the last few days? We travelled from Kissimmee to Pooler, Georgia and visited Daytona Speedway track and then the 8th Airforce Museum. From Pooler we travelled west across Georgia to La Grange and spent the weekend with the children I nannied 30 years ago and their father and stepmother. Lovely weekend. Now we are in Nashville and have just been to the Grand Ole Opry. Tomorrow we will visit the country music hall of ...
