... the Zurich train schedule proved a total bore), I realized I did have my Franklin Language Translator with me. So I grabbed a piece of paper and started translating a little of my medical history- drug allergies, symptoms, etc. That took up about 15 minutes or so.

While I was waiting, I tried to guess as to what the other patient's ailments were. One guy had done something to his finger. I don't know what. He ...
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland trockie... to go in later than normal today. She would normally have left the house at 5:30 am and that would have been way too early to get up! The house was very cold so we opted to skip showers. We said our goodbyes and made our way to the car. The temperature gauge read 3 degrees C. That’s 37 degrees F!! It was cold! I put on the hat I bought in Amsterdam to cover up the bed head. We are on our way to Lausanne ...
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland thematts... suprised it's not on their flag. (Perhaps they were afraid someone might mistake it for a ****.) Anyway, as I've mentioned they are all about the chocolate and cheese here. However, I've yet to stay in a hotel here that puts a piece of chocolate on your bed at night! Personally I could care less as I rarely even eat it when they do, but I find that ironic. Geez, I mean it's not like they don't ...
Tolochenaz, Vaud, Switzerland trockie... and beggars, especially here. I have gotten to the point where when I saw the man praying for money I just wanted to kick him. I have been told that there is work in Switzerland if you don't mind the cold and a little hard work.
It has been a while since I have encountered any of them, but it really made me hot under the collar. I have also found that I am much more suspicious of everybody, everytime someone approaches me I am a little more on my guard.
I think I also saw an old ...
Montreux, Vaud, Switzerland tonkin... scenic trip along the lake, passing vineyards along the way. We got talking to an American who now lived there which was very interesting. When we got to Montreux, we bought food at the Coop and sat by the lake having a picnic lunch. We then walked along the lake to Chateau de Chillon which was a 45 min walk, on what was our hottest day so far- the forecast was 29 C but it may have been a bit cooler by the lake.

Chateau de Chillon is on a small rocky ...
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland kiama_on_tour... to have a kitchen to cook in, so went of the Coop to stock up. In the kitchen, we met some Aussies who were from Ulladulla. Katelyn thought the hostel was lots of fun.

We had been so absorbed in working out what to do in Paris, that we weren't really organised for Switzerland. So we were madly reading up and trying to organise what we were doing.
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland kiama_on_tour... morning about economy/stocks, hee hee it's annoying enough to get me up. I poked my head outside my window to see what all the noise's about. All I could see is some sparkly car driving down this windy road, reflecting the perfect sunlight. If this was a TV commercial, I bet ya, I'd totally buy the car, even if it's a Buick. Breakfast here was great, it has croissant, cereal, juice, fruits, coffee, yogurt and etc. Pretty ...
Montreux, Vaud, Switzerland slamnation... Water" was coined here during the Jazz Festival seeing a building burning by the lake and the smoke along the water. After a good few hours there, we made our way back to Crans-Montana for a concert, then on to bed while the bar was hopping during the Euro Cup semifinals where Spain beat Russia and people broke glasses and dragged the Russian flag through the streets. Another great day in European paradise!
Montreux, Vaud, Switzerland disciple26... on the fact that Freddie Mercury spent a large chunk of his last days there and made his last recordings there. They have mounted a huge bronze statue in the prime position on the lake. I neglected to take a photo of it but picture Neil Diamond on the cover of "The Jazz Singer" and you have the giste of what it looks like. Mr Mercury was a wonderful entertainer and an extremely talented musicain but I wonder is his lasting effect on the town will ...
Montreux, France dub... marvelous. Mostly 13th century furnishings, 15th century ceilings. Can wander through most rooms. Climbed tower for view. Wonderful fun. Walked to Ville Nueve. Bob and Joyce stayed there. Paul and I trained to Chillon then walked to Montreaux. Met up. Took train to Lausanne. Ate at Bahnhof. Quite good. Returned to Geneva.
