... in a couple different pools and slowly got our stuff together for our big road trip tomorrow. We plan to be up and out pretty early for the 7 hour drive to Sedona. I am excited about the next leg of our trip, but not looking forward to the heat. We really have been lucky this past week and half with the weather, only having one hot ...

I'm going to combine yesterday's and today's events into the one post.

Yesterday we explored San Diego Zoo, it's pretty massive! One of the guys who runs the shuttle for the military families kindly offered to drop us off at the zoo that morning, as we drove in he gave us a little history lesson on the towns we were going through and on the zoo.

We arrived and went straight onto the 50 minute bus tour of the zoo, it takes you around to most exhibits for a view of ...

Customs (CBA) office was both efficient and helpful, but we discovered for the first time we needed a 'cleaning certificate’, a document that is essential for all used road vehicles shipped into Canada without exceptions. ... br> Sunset cliffs
    Balboa Park - tennis!

Absolutely beautiful places, Downtown relatively small but compact. We drove past an aircraft carrier which was really 'awesome' so I'm going to try and go back there in the next few days.

In the evening, went to a tennis club which was really challenging - I hate being bad at things! good fun though and lovely people.

Dinner at In-n-out burger, class day - thanks Sean!

... the driver described the exhibits, and after that we walked around to look at the animals. We were able to see an exceptional number of animals and birds including a giant Panda. At the end of the day we took a ride on the "Skyfari", an arial tram over the tree tops of the zoo, and then we took a second ride on the bus tour. This was a wonderful day.
