... so one day I put in 86 octane and the next 88, which I hope averages out to 87. If I remember correctly, 87 is the octane in CA. Does anyone have input on whether I should be using 86 or 88 octane gas?

There was a gentle rain falling when I left Amarillo; first rain of the season. It was okay.
