      We left Monteverde and headed to Liberia for a few days in the north east of the country. On the way we had a break at a place where brightly coloured parrots and macaws are plentyiful. In Liberia we went on a tour hoping to see the only monkey we had yet to see, the spider monkey.       So this morning we went to the reception to sort out our booking....she did have us checked in for the next 6 days thankfully and we were honest and said about arriving a day early so she have us a discount and we paid the first night!       ... mountains. Mandy found a transfer service that allows you to white water raft part of the way and we gave it a go. Heading down the mighty Rio Pacuare was simply stunning. A deep gorge in the rainforest with some decent class IV rapids. There was one tense moment where the boat almost flipped, but we arrived downstream safe and soaked. The rest of the bus ride was silent after paddling for 30k's however.
