San Francisco-the light version
It took several cool, wet, and ugly mornings but I finally realized that in California, it's useless to pull out a camera before noon. We drove into San Francisco, arriving at about 930 AM. You can look at the pictures I took and tell which ones were taken in the morning. Tours and city sights
... with their own personalities and if we were staying longer I would love to explore Little Italy, Chinatown and the Mission District. The wharf area is extremely busy because of it being Memorial Weekend and 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. It makes it harder to get around, but there is a real festive atmosphere and loads of street performers.

“Great place for stay, park and fly!”

We travel often but have to drive several hours to reach the San Francisco airport. El Rancho is the place to stay. There is free shuttle service 24hrs/day every half hour. Rooms are clean and comfortable with free wi-fi and you can park up to 14 days for free ($5/day thereafter). Upon your return, if you chose to stay another night, you get a substantial discount on your room. We've been doing this several times a year for about 10 years now and wouldn't think of staying elsewhere.
