... Next stop was Waipio Valley - what a tremendous view - it was just spectacular! Then back to the house and Pid is making burgers for dinner! Day 9 - July 18, 2014 Another late start - we are on vacation. All of us went for a swim in the pool and then we all hit the hot tub. Then Pid saw turtles swimming in the waves in the ocean. We all go running out - I was in the shower :). They were so cute - just hitting the waves - you would see their little heads pop up. So cute! ...

Our objective today is to get to Oshawa, visit the Canadian Automobile Museum and then spend as much time with Anne ...

... the same fellow art admirers from moments ago. Slight embarrassment as I realise it is in fact the speakers still playing. Even once I know this, it is still disorientating and makes me smile.

The sculptures are more than I could have anticipated. My favourite is the reclining figure with her smoothness of bone but curves of flesh. The twisting fashion of it is feminine but the material makes ...

A gentler day exploring the parts of Oshawa associated with the Cathmoirs. From the Waterfront onto Lake Ontario to the extensive parks and sports grounds. We were shown houses, schools and work places linked with the family. Also the site of the mysterious Camp X, spy training establishment and listening station. Its possible my Dad trained there, but he never mentioned it. The weather was ...
