Time to get on my way again. After one more short little shopping excursion for really, really good cider and a new camera, I left Ontario via the bridge from Fort Erie into New York state and headed west towards Pennsylvania. I wanted to get out of the congestion around Buffalo before stopping for anything and I was about an hour down the road when I noticed the price of gas was about 60 cents/gallon less than I’d seen along the way, so, of course I filled the tank. We pulled off at this little marina/beach and waded around in the lake while Chula took a swim. It's in the 80's here and humid. The lake temp seemed to be in the low 70's I'm guessing. It's weird to think that this place gets such harsh weather and ...

I slept in, took a shower and had some coffee with my grandma and a little chat. Before I knew it, it was lunchtime, so we had some chili and red wine while waiting for Dante Irma to show up, before we went to my Aunt Diane's house for Michelle's baby shower. The last time I really talked to Dante Irma was when I was about 17, changing in the women's locker room at the YMCA in Welland. She saw me, and immediately ran up to me in ...

... and produce the best Ice Wine apparently. I tried the Ice Wine and loved it. It is really sweet and is supposed to be a dessert wine. I also tried a white and red but only liked the white (and most other people there thought the same ... maybe they just gave us the cheapest red they could find). Next stop, Brock Monument. This is a monument for a General who lead a battle between Canada and the USA for control over both sides of the ...
