      A great find

Flying in late and leaving early we wanted something simple and clean and convenient. This hotel was great. They offer shuttles from the airport to their hotel and the next morning took us to the local car rental location. The room was huge. I had to go back down and ask if they had upgraded us as it looked like a junior suite, but no, it was just their king room. There is a nice lap pool and fitness center. The breakfast in the morning was enough to get us going. The staff were all polite and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable. We walked late at night to the nearby Domino's pizza and felt safe. I have no reservations in recommending this location.

Très grande chambre, très propre. Frigidaire et micro-onde. Internet sans-fil et surtout sans problème. À quelques kilomètres du métro pour aller en ville. Restaurant familiale à 2 pas.

      Getting started

Day 1 We took a later flight into Chicago so Russ could have one more day at work. We found out what being TSA pre-checked meant- it is a good thing.

The hotel has a shuttle, but we couldn't figure out where to catch it. Finally realized it was outside the airport via a tunnel to the bus and shuttle area. But it was okay as it took that …

It’s right here. Being in this “old” airport, I can see why people in Kansas City don’t want to change our “perfect” airport? No, you cannot get a ...

... to 'too much information' fatigue. Sunday was Moving Day again - Yvonne and I were leaving the privately-owned apartment we had stayed in for the previous nine nights and returning to Ontario Place, where we would be bunking down with Max and Sarah for our remaining time in Chicago. True to form, we heard nothing from our host Victor regarding procedures for leaving his place, so at 9:30 or so we merely left the key on the kitchen bench and shut the door ...

... was such a nice guy. He gave me a bed to sleep in and coffee in the morning the first night. We stayed awake talking for a good hour, and he offered me a bed for the following night, too!

Yesterday I spent walking around exploring. Let's see... I went to the beach, the top of the John Hancock Building, saw original Michelangelo canvases and met many new people. I even met a girl Hannah at the park last night who works at the aquarium ...

Today will be a short entry as this is the end of my Arizona vacation

One final breakfast before heading to the airport to turn in my rental car and get ready for the trip back home. I had a great time at The Boulders and look forward to staying there again.
