Flying in late and leaving early we wanted something simple and clean and convenient. This hotel was great. They offer shuttles from the airport to their hotel and the next morning took us to the local car rental location. The room was huge. I had to go back down and ask if they had upgraded us as it looked like a junior suite, but no, it was just their king room. There is a nice lap pool and fitness center. The breakfast in the morning was enough to get us going. The staff were all polite and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable. We walked late at night to the nearby Domino's pizza and felt safe. I have no reservations in recommending this location.

Très grande chambre, très propre. Frigidaire et micro-onde. Internet sans-fil et surtout sans problème. À quelques kilomètres du métro pour aller en ville. Restaurant familiale à 2 pas.

While in Chicago we spent a day in the city. First taking a cruise into Lake Michigan then a Hop On Hop Off bus to check out the city streets. We stayed out near the airport and the cab ride into town wasn't cheap or quick, but it had to be done.

So our 5 week trip comes to an end!!

We started out in Canada touring through the …

Day 1 We took a later flight into Chicago so Russ could have one more day at work. We found out what being TSA pre-checked meant- it is a good thing.

The hotel has a shuttle, but we couldn't figure out where to catch it. Finally realized it was outside the airport via a tunnel to the bus and shuttle area. But it was okay as it took that …

... It was Saturday the 1st November so just after the real Halloween night but parties were still happening. However, the shop was looking a bit bare so we didn't have an awful lot of choices. I figured buying a ready made up costume in a set would be cheaper than buying individual items so we all did that. I got a Cruella Devil costume which included a black and white wig. Rob got an all in one spiderman costume, which required minimum effort ...

So we got out at the University of Chicago where my dad used to teach. One of the world's greatest universities. By this time ...

After that headed to try some authenticate deep dish pizza. Locals were recommending another chain called Giordano's, but popular among locals and tourists.Got there at a good time, not much of a wait, but another fun fact!: ...
