... of a wait got our orders. There was a lot of chopped pork at the table but I opted for brisket with turnip greens, fried okra and hushpuppies. Cheryl got a salad with pulled pork and I think most everyone else got chopped pork dishes. Oh, Susie got a salad with breaded chicken. Sweet teas were the most popular drink at the table.

The waitress dropped off the orders and then plopped down two huge baskets of hushpuppies on the table. One ...

But, now I have to focus on getting ready for Germany. I will live there for a much longer time (6+ months)! Hopefully I'm ready for everything I'm going to face there, but I'm sure that even if I'm not I'll work my way through it.

We planned to meet my niece Susie and her husband Ed for dinner. Cheryl and Susie made arrangements and we put Harley in for a nap and we headed down the street to the Village Tavern to see how crowded it was. Susie and Ed are still working folk so we decided that since it was Friday night, it could be busy and we would get our names on the list if it was.

Well, it was pretty packed. A ...

Well, I'm here in North Carolina! I drove up here on Thursday and got in around 6pm. Driving past a goat shack and pulling up to a beautiful light blue home, I was greeted by Dean, my host! So the story. I had originally planned on visiting North Carolina with Christoffer as part of our road trip. Since it would've been the two of us, I thought rather than crashing at a friend's couch or blown up mattress, it'd be more comfortable and fun ...
