There were several reasons for our trip to Italy. Adventure, yes. New experiences, sure. Relaxation,...eventually. Yet, if it needed to be distilled down into one, visiting the hometown of Lisa's beloved grandfather Rudolfo would be the one. Alfio Zippili is a distant cousin who lives in Corropoli with his wife Rita. Alfio speaks only Italian and Rita some English, Italian and French. They were our tour guides for the day. One ...

Saying goodbye to Positano was bittersweet. We would love to spend more time here, but more adventures await. Our journey today takes us to the Abruzzo region of Italy via: 1. The bus to Sorrento. Not a bad ride, but taking a bus with all of your luggage? Non buona. 2. Walking to the Avis rental place. Her voracious approach to reading is enviable even if I applied an adult reader status to her. ... in the train with her young children as deterrents. Disgusting! Luckily it was all okay in the end, just reminded us how careful we all have to be. Rome is a great site seeing city! We saw some truly amazing things. We had a delicious dinner of bruschetta, risotto, and sun dried tomatoes and olives chicken in our topdeck tent... Yum!! Very early start tomorrow, bags on the bus by 6.20am so we can drive to catch our 25 hour ferry to ...

The famous tower that leans! This was only a very quick stop in Pisa to but compete tourists :) we couldn't afford to stay much more than an hour anyway because it costs an insane €200 an hour to park in the car park around the corner from the tower. It was pretty cool to see it but it would not be something that I feel I would ever need to see again. We have been so lucky with the weather it has been absolutely ...
