I escaped unharmed with an overall impression that actually its quite a nice place and no more threatning than any other city.

... new friends suggested I take a walk down the Killyleagh harbour which I duly did on my return to the hotel. Its a lovely little walk, not far from the hotel and I spend an hour watching swans, seagulls and boats bobbing up and down on the water.

Newcastle to Ijmuiden Would you believe there are no ferries running from Edinbrough on a Wednesday? Oh well, it's a lovely day for a drive down to Newcastle, England. That done, we were last to board the big P&O Queen of Scandinavia Ferry to Holland. We shared our car deck with many large refrigerated trucks which carry flowers and had to be kept powered up on the ferry to keep the flowers cool.
