      ... over the water. We took a jet ferry to Mackinac Island for the day. There are no cars allowed on the island . Only feet, bicycles, snowmobiles, and horse and carriage/wagon. We took a self guided walking tour and a narrated horses and carriage tour. Visited historic Ft. Mackinac and had lunch at the Tea Room which is owned by the Grand Hotel.       ... of travel time. We docked at Wright's Landing Marina in Oswego, NY where we met more Loopers - Tom and Nancy on Terrapin. They live in Petosky, MI and are getting close to completing their Loop. They provided lots of detailed information about the North Channel which they have cruised for many years. It's always so good to get first-hand details from fellow boaters who have experienced what we've only read about.

      ... we discovered a bookstore, a nautical shop, clothing boutiques, gifts shops and a kitchen supply store. The boys looked at boats in the harbor docked on a beautiful afternoon. Dinner at a restaurant called Turkey Pizzaria. We shared a large pizza and it was delicious. Before we left, we enjoyed a jazz musician participating in an event called Musique in Harbor Springs.
