... over the water. We took a jet ferry to Mackinac Island for the day. There are no cars allowed on the island . Only feet, bicycles, snowmobiles, and horse and carriage/wagon. We took a self guided walking tour and a narrated horses and carriage tour. Visited historic Ft. Mackinac and had lunch at the Tea Room which is owned by the Grand Hotel. ... that the course is considered a practice course and there is no fee. They probably assumed we were guests, but we went along and played the course that went up and down the hills and did not pay a cent. Not our best game, but we had fun and didn't feel rushed.
