We had an excursion booked at a place called the Plimoth Plantation. This is a reconstruction of the first settlement of the pilgrims that settled their colony there. The site is made up of a indian camp of Wampanoag Indians that speak the language that has been rediscovered and now spoken again ...

... thru briefly en route to the Long Island Sound car ferry. Just as well. As we wound our way thru the green, picturesque byways, past the cute flag adorned cottages and fancy eatery signs proclaiming the best oysters in the world, I sensed no lure to get intimate with this area, just the feeling of a bad mollusk wedged in my throat that somehow eased the more I applied pressure to the gas pedal.

Although somewhere around East Marion we did get stuck behind ...
