... I explained to him that yes we were thruhikers, and yes we were about a month early due to it being a low snow year. It turned out he was a 2 time thru hiker. The first time being in 1976, 17 years before the trail was fully completed and the second time was in 2001, 25 years after the first time. Not only was he a hiker, but he was driving his daughters best friend down to start her thruhike at kickoff. I had no intention of going ...

We had perfect weather every day, a comfortable apartment to stay in, great company all around, and a very good healthcare experience. Leaving for LA was not easy but it had to be done. I’d like to say we will see you again soon San Diego… it just depends on how convincing I can be to Erik and how many other places I fall in love with on the rest of the trip!

... whole plate!! These ribs were covered in smoked hickory sauce ( the secret to all the good American food) and were possibly the most tender thing I have eaten. The meat just fell away from the bone- no knife or fingers required ( that I was disappointed about!) After I had my 2 x margueritas served in a mason jar ( totally stealing that for when I get back ) we took off to walk dinner off. The street is so busy with people having a look. We were ...
