... We had a great time walking around and seeing the sites. Bryce was so excited about being on the west coast, one of the main reasons being SUSHI. So we had sushi for lunch and dinner :) Bryce also made a report on the Canadian news for the upcoming Olympics, very funny. It may or may not broadcast but he was still very excited.
... other flowers, weeping Japanese maples, and a dancing fountain. The Japanese garden is also delightful. In every direction there are magnificent flowers of all colours, beautifully laid out.
We also had a look at Victoria, which is the capital of British Columbia. It is all low-rise and historic around the waterfront, with the Empress hotel (complete with ivy growing up the walls ...
... really pleased with it. Just need a job now and I'm all set! Actually I REALLY need a job, I'm not sure I can afford to spend the Easter weekend drunk, a Ralph tradition since 2004. Anyhow, other than that things are pretty good. Not been up to much on account of my finances. Went out on Tuesday night with a Welsh guy who plied me with drink (dont worry, he didnt even get to first base). I didnt have to buy a drink all night. I still managed to spend $80! Why does ...

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada keithranville... true shepherds pie, with lashings of mashed potato for the kids (they loved it), and Gary and I had some chunky wild salmon soup, (very much like a homemade vegetable soup), with warm focaccia bread. (These people also make and sell there own dips, hummus and sauces all made on the premises.) Even Tara's chicken burger, was a 'home-made chicken breast', with potato skins .... get the idea? To accompany it all, I popped back to a bakery I ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada foreman... night here. There is no taxi service in the area though so we were standing by a road out in the middle of nowhere in the pitch black dark hoping that the last bus of the day was going to turn up and take us to a nearby town and that we didn't get scoffed by wolves. I think both Chris and I agree that this was our favourite place on the trip so far, the view was simply breathtaking as the photos will probably demonstrate, the people here seem really happy and friendly ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada papertigerWednesday We had breakfast in our room this morning and checked out of the Hotel. We left for North Vancouver, after the traffic had died down. We felt like competent Canadian drivers now that we had 2 days driving on what felt like the wrong side of the road. We found the RV again much easier this time with a decent map and after checking out a few things offered $18 000 ...
Vancouver, Canada manningnzTuesday - December 11, 2007 Well, it's been an interesting trip. Left Vancouver, BC, Canada at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 7th to Dallas/Fort Worth for a 5 hour layover, then 11 hours to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Actually, the flying wasn't too bad, but I don't sleep well on planes. We were travelling with Norwegian Cruise Lines and they made arrangements for all transfers between the airport/hotel and hotel/ship. While in Buenos Aires, we booked a city tour and got to see several ...
Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada sablehrtWe were driven by Sandy and Robin to Vancouver through the gorgeous scenery of British Columbia. It's very variable; forests through to desert areas and eventually the sea. We took a route through the Fraser Canyon, looking down at the rapidly moving Fraser River. This time of year, the river is quite low but it's still very fast moving, which makes it all the more impressive that Sandy rafted down it in what Robin refers to as her "wild youth". We stopped for food at a ...
