          ... tasting plate. It was expensive but from the reviews we thought it would be worth it. Boy were we wrong. It was tasty but really quite boring compared to sushi we have had every where else. Such a disappointment but oh well - ya can't win em all. Our flight went really quite quickly.           ... them, a short walk across the carpark, then into the gondola for ride up the mountain. The gondola ride is about a mile long and takes up to about 4000ft, the view is just amazing, well it would have been if it wasn't raining & misty with only about 50ft of visibility.           Leaving the ship is alway bittersweet. You don't want to leave the nest you've become so spoiled in but you can't wait to get on with another adventure. A little bit like life, I suppose. Once we were off the ship and had our bags checked to go to the airport for pick up later, we found a little coffee shop on the Canada Place pier and enjoyed a coffee while catching up on email and messages. AND...there was a huge anime convention going on today so we've had great fun ...

          ... of the single men's quarters (and maybe some of the others too!) Dolly's house is now a museum and I notice that prostitution has had as many legal acceptances as has alcohol (during prohibition Dolly managed to get her boot legged liquor up the creek at dead of night and up through a trap door in her floor a cunning nose thumb at the law on two fronts!)           ... I know Taiwan was a Japanese colony for 50 years, but .... Thinking about the horrific crimes the Japanese committed in China, it is somehow difficult for me to see us Chinese adopt so much Japanese stuff .... But, to be fair, Taiwan has maintained much more, and better, Chinese traditions than the mainland!
