So, I did actually drive to the middle of nowhere in Kansas to go to Dodge. So I could then leave quickly.
Unfortunately, there really isn't much there. They have a historic district, but it was all shut down by the time I rolled in. The place seems to be a residential city, and by that I mean that there are shops and bars and restaurants, but no industry that I could see. No one wants a sky scraper there.
First things first . . . the photo of Frank and me for this blog doesn't have anything at all to do with this trip. It's a picture of us at Paula Deen's restaurant in Savannah, GA, last year at this time. I just like the photo and wanted to put it there! By the way, in the center bottom of the picture is absolutely the best fried okra in the whole world!
