    We arrived around 1pm to our campground after marveling at the changing landscape from flat Texas to rolling, scrubby New Mexico. The temperatures here are better than in Texas, though we had to admit that Amarillo wasn't too bad (not as bad as we'd expected). Today's high was 84 with the low of nearly 68 overnight. Tomorrow is slated to be 81. While the temperatures don't seem too high, we are aware that we are at a high elevation (higher than Denver at nearly 7600 ft.) so the sun ...

    ... There is even less traffic around than in previous days and we travelled the frontage road in complete isolation. We stopped at Stop signs for no reason.
