      ... since most kids spend the day with their family while in port. It always amazes me when parents go ashore and leave...or allow their children to stay onboard! I don't get it! Anyway, before the ship sailed I was able to go to the crew deck in the front of the ship to take a few pictures! Worked again 7:00-10:00, but looking forward to having the whole day off tomorrow in Cabo San ...

      Another early start for the Farrs today. The vagaries of the notorious LA traffic almost scuppered our plans, though, as we got caught in a fairly substantial jam on CA91 so we arrived rather later than planned and missed out on one or two "fast pass" opportunities but, as it turned out, we didn't miss too much.

      ... Unfortunately she recently fell and broke a hip so she has been recovering from that incident. We had a great visit with her, she is as spunky as ever. What an amazing woman! We also met up with my cousin Ric and his wife Billie. They drove up and met us in Del Mar (about 1/2 way between Oceanside and their home).       ... so we were able to take our time. Our first stop was indeed Wilson Creek. I'm a white wine fan and they didn't have much new to taste in the whites but they did have my favorite wine in stock (it seems to sell out rapidly each year) so I just replenished my supply.
