... around Bricktown, a trendy shopping district with a water canal similar to San Antonio, and to visit the Okla City Memorial that commemorates the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building in 1995. We're hoping to see that at night as it appears they light the individual chairs that represent each person killed that day and it looks very powerful. We headed north from Crater of Diamonds after reluctantly saying goodbye to my sister and brother-in-law. We chose a back road through the Ouachita Mountains. We wanted to get to know Arkansas better. These mountains are called structurally complex, geologically speaking, but we don't see that much, because they are covered in Oak, Beech, Sweet Gum and Loblolly Pine.
