Very Satisfied with BW, as usual

We decided to avoid Dallas on our way back to California from Austin. Once the sun set I knew we should start looking for a place to stay but each little town we came to on that back road had nothing to offer. What a relief to hit Comanche and see the Best Western. Clean. Cushy. Quiet. Free breakfast. Fast Internet and a laundry facility.
    Excellent

... Later, we suffered through a poor showing of the Cowboys in their loss to the Eagles.

Friday, we drove to Vickie and Jack's house outside DeLeon and were treated to a very tasty Thanksgiving meal - is there a trend here? We got to spend some time with them and Logan, their grandson. We got in their ATV and drove around their property to check out their deer feeders and cattle. Can't wait to see the pictures of the finished restoration of their Mustang!

It's a Texas tradition! You have to eat at "Waterburger"! Yummy breakfast of pancakes, taquitos, honey chicken biscuits, and chocolate milk. Mmmmmmmmm We stopped for ice and lo and behold....Dublin Dr Peppers! In honor of my sister, Kathy, we bought one for everybody. For those unversed in Dr Pepper language, Dublin Dr Pepper's are made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup and are only available in and around Dublin, ...

And no doubt we will get into some, it's us, bad luck seems to follow us. We will try and update as much as we can, catch ya in a couple weeks! Ciao! PS we want ...

On the road for another hour until we reached the moderate sized town of Brownwood (yep, still in Texas) where Josh talked us into him buying his own laptop with his own money for US$328 for a good one (from Walmart of course) before we found a cheap hotel called the Value Lodge – which had a lot of pickups and truckers parked in the car park, but beggars can’t be ...

... a single property on the lake has sold in over a year. It is dry!

We spent the week here, just chilling out and getting caught up on what's happening in the family.

We found another BBQ joint in our book in Valera, TX - Big O's Barbecue. So we decided to check it out for lunch one day. When we arrived, the owner was sitting at a table talking to another customer. When he sees the book in Shirley's hand, he ...
