We decided to avoid Dallas on our way back to California from Austin. Once the sun set I knew we should start looking for a place to stay but each little town we came to on that back road had nothing to offer. What a relief to hit Comanche and see the Best Western. Clean. Cushy. Quiet. Free breakfast. Fast Internet and a laundry facility.

It's a Texas tradition! You have to eat at "Waterburger"! Yummy breakfast of pancakes, taquitos, honey chicken biscuits, and chocolate milk. Mmmmmmmmm We stopped for ice and lo and behold....Dublin Dr Peppers! In honor of my sister, Kathy, we bought one for everybody. For those unversed in Dr Pepper language, Dublin Dr Pepper's are made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup and are only available in and around Dublin, ...
... I am sure we will have plenty of stories to tell from our upcoming two weeks.....some of us wanting to kill each other....but most about what hilarious antics we got ourselves into. And no doubt we will get into some, it's us, bad luck seems to follow us. We will try and update as much as we can, catch ya in a couple weeks! Ciao! PS we want ...

Dublin Dr Pepper has a little factory tour and a museum and only bottles around 3000 bottles a month and still only delivers it in a 44 mile radius from Dublin. The tour and museum was very interesting and all four of us enjoyed the icy cold free sample bottle of Dr Pepper (which I thought ...
... knows why we are here. His part of the book starts off "I'm a ***********", so he signs the book "Big O. B.S. and BBQ - The perfect combo!". He maybe a BS'er, but his BBQ is not! The brisket was very tender and smoky, the suace (there are two kinds) is very good, and the sides are good old fashion Texas good eat'n. The town is one of those "don't blink or you will miss it" places, but we would recommend this BBQ joint to anyone.
... route. The road ended up being FM219 which had as many curves as a rump roast on Easter Sunday. It was nice!!!. We arrived in Dublin, Texas the home of the original pure cane sugar Dr. Pepper, just before noon. Much to our surprise this little town of 4000 people was packed with hordes of visitors celebrating the 120 year anniversary of the original Dr. Pepper. Before you can appreciate the Dublin Dr. Pepper history, you ...
