... Brian and Claire and Kyla. She did great meeting everyone and was very friendly! The only thing she was scared of were the escalators. My mom and I drove to our house with Talia in a car seat next to Kyla. She did great in the car seat! I was worried because car seats are non-existant in Ukraine.
When we got home we played with Talia, and showed her around the house. She was a little scared of the dogs at first ...

Columbus Ohio, Ohio, United States royalbellemareSo yep I am out of money and back to work . . . Been in Columbus now for about a month, got a job as soon as I got here which was pretty cool. Working in an asset recovery firm doing some admin work and some sales, pretty laid back so it's pretty good. Also got a job in an Italian restaurant which is going to be fun!! Its hardcore getting back to work though . . .
Been living with my cousin Erica and ...
... too looking at the map that we're pretty much in line with Baltimore to the east of here, which looks to be a good day's drive (probably as far as we came yesterday from Nashville to Grove City), so I'm of half a mind to head that way instead. Hmmm, decisions!!
Grove City, Ohio, United States mattcollWe can't believe there is only 1 week left until we leave for Ukraine! This week we are finishing getting our paperwork in order, stopping our paper, forwarding our mail, getting extensions on our prescriptions, making sure that we will have internet access, charging all our electronics, and starting to pack! We are also trying to spend as ...
Grove City, Ohio, United States posendekScott flew in from Boston where he had an afternoon work meeting.
The kids and I drove to Columbus after school. We went through Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia (again), and finally to Ohio.
We saw a replica of Columbus's Santa Maria on the river in town.
Sitting in the kitchen table at Ryan's dad's place. First stop on the long trip. Last night we got in around midnight and started off our trip with relaxing in a hot tub and a glass of wine. You can see we are really roughing it on this trip.
I'm really excited to get over to Chicago, we've got a lot planned tonight, none of which I know. Or Ryan knows for that matter. We're just leaving this one in the hands of friends that live there.

... a garden, surrounding the various stores and businesses. James took me to meet with Kelly for lunch (on monday 4th, if I remember correctly) and immediately I noticed Kelly's co-workers seemed almost enthranced with the sight of that tall, dark, burly European guy, caramel skin-tone hidden under black hoodie and tan cargo pants... The girls apparently stormed poor Kelly with questions about that piece of 'beef'', after me and James left... ^^; SubWay was ...
Columbus, Ohio, United States tygorgrinnem... alarm told me that I'd had enough. Despite the cold, we chose to queue for the ferris wheel...an operation that would involve standing around for over half an hour, another twenty minutes moving backwards and forwards while people were getting on the ride and then 5 minutes actually enjoying the actual ride. This maybe should have lasted longer but we weren't the only ones to notice that on of the rubber tyres that make the thing turn had a huge blister ...
Columbus, Ohio, United States mihangel... what my research was all about. So here is the quickie version of what I am looking at: The site of Catalhoyuk is considered by many to be the first large city in the world. The site is 9,000 years old (almost 4 times older than the Romans) and could have been home to nearly 8,000 people. They lived in houses of mudbricks that they entered through the roof. We can see through the archaeology that houses were occupied for around 80 years and then ...
