... at sunset the bats come out to feed. We made sure we were on the bridge at sunset and I have never seen so many bats in my life. They were flying within 10 feet of us, hundreds of them (actually 750,000 give or take a few). The Alamo is pretty much what you would expect. It's an old Spanish mission that's been repaired and altered over the years, and now they have added a museum, an IMAX theater, and a gift shop.
