... in dieser Grove rumstehen, mit vielleicht 4 m Stammdurchmesser ist atemberaubend. Wenn man dann aber noch zum "Giant Grizzly" kommt - dem größten bzw. dicksten Baum - relativiert sich das alles noch einmal. Dieser Riese hat am Fuß einen Durchmesser von 8,9 m!!! Visiting The Giant Sequoias
... that they were Acorn Woodpeckers who were taking acorns and hiding them in holes in the bark of the trees. Moving from the birds it wasn't long before we encountered a tarantula crossing the road. Of course I had to make sure he got across safely. Apparently they are quite common in Sequoia.

... out to the Fresno airport....we decided to call a taxi this time..........and left the Best Western around 9:00 am.Enjoyed a really quick flight (58 min.) to Las Vegas.
We chose to stay at the Luxor due to it's close proximity to Mandalay Bay.In case you have been under a rock...........this is where Tiger Jam/ Bon Jovi is playing tomorrow night...........AND also this is where David will be opening for Bon Jovi!!!
