      ... but I felt like I was being spied on, so I looked up and there was a teenage cat on a second story window sill!!! Ba and I were so happy seeing so many cats and getting some quality petting.

      We had to be back on the boat at 1100, and we sailed through the deepest lock on our trip, I have pics stuck on my cel. Anyway, a small boat got to join us, the water level dropped ~75 ...

      Today is a travel day.

      We are sailing today from Lyon to Tournon, there has been a lot of rain so the Rhone river is on Orange alert, which means that big ships cannot sail. The reason is that the Rhone has several locks, which are really really fascinating. I've never sailed on a boat like this before (not to brag, but I have been assigned the role of ballast on a catamaran previously) so these locks are so great! ...

Reims is home to many of the major producers, and we decided to visit the Tattinger cellars for a tour. Some of their cellars were built by the Romans and you could still see the tooling marks, as well as some ancient graffiti.

      ... them without cell service and exact coordinates. We had exchanged as much info as we knew, and I was confident it would work out. Luckily I had familiarized myself with the streets of Avignon a little the night before because of course I was late, sprinting to the train station before the sun was up, and cutting it really close. My hair was dripping wet and I missed a turn so frantically asked the street sweepers for help. Gotta love Europeans-they're always up ...

      ... running records at the University of Vermont and was a coach there for years! (obviously I was very intrigued and slightly obsessed with her! Such a nice lady!)
