    Glad to be home again

... We heard the news about all the storms in Sydney and Wollongong and decided to keep away for a day or so until it had passed so stayed at Gunning last night in the little free camp by the creek. We woke this morning to a brilliant blue sky and did the last 2 1/2 hrs drive home to Wollongong.

Caravan out the front to be cleaned and unpacked before heading off on another trip someday soon we hope. Mum's 98th birthday next week so must not miss that.

Today we drove from Jugiong to Ardlethan, through Wagga Wagga. It has turned out very windy and cold and threatening to rain again. We have power here for the night at $2 per night which is really good. The park has a toilet and a BBQ and a few other caravans have turned up for the night. The power should boost the batteries as we had the fridge on for a week before we hooked up to leave Wollongong so they were getting very ...

Have now arrived in Holland, where I was picked up by friends who are Dutch ,but lived in Australia thirty years ago. They met me at the airport, drove me in a very posh BMW to their boat and we sped very quickly over to their summer house. The island is a nature reserve and apart from a windmill their home is the only dwelling on the island......I am surrounded by chickens, pheasants and water fowl.......tis a ...

    On the Boat

... and Julie Anne have gone into Mykonos for a look around so we will probably meet back on the boat to have dinner, some birthday cake and a few more additions on the drinks voucher. Apparently you get a printout at the end that itemises everything you have drunk, that will make interesting reading! Anyway, Mykonos is built on a rocky island with virtually no vegetation. It has been made famous because it is the trendy place to be for gays. Wouldn't rate high on my list of places ...

We've decided to publish a travel blog for our holiday this year.
We're flying to Athens for the start of our holiday, on April 29th.
Then a cruise from Athens to Istanbul.
We fly from Istanbul to Paris, then on the Eurostar to London and driving immediately to Cornwall.
We then travel to London, staying with lovely friends on the way.
Finally a week in London before returning to Sydney on June 12th.

We'll keep you posted with comments and photos, on the way.
