... a small group tour and our guides and travel mates really made it a lot of fun and very memorable.

Egypt has some amazing antiquities and an excellent road and rail infrastructure (we only recommend the first class or tourist trains though and, if traveling at night, get a sleeper car for sure).

Cairo is a really dirty, noisy, and over crowded city. The traffic is chaotic and pedestrians are like bait for vehicular traffic. You can ...
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada boydandroseToday we spent the morning looking around Saskatoon, quite a nice city really! We drove through the campus and had lunch at a lovely cafe. We then jumped in the car and drove straight to Edmonton....just so much farmland! We got to Mike and Melissa's house around 8 and I met a new friend, Aubri, She is REALLY cute and we had some fun together. Her dad ...
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada matt~becca... some rooms for their views. I met David, a new bellmen for the hotel which turned out to be a Crowne Plaza. David had started only three days before but he spoke four languages. A perfect guy for a bellman position having been one in the past during my university years. I went up to the Front Desk and asked to see some rooms with views. Instead of dealing with the Front Desk staff they sent down James Jackson, director of catering and I assume sales ...
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada mgraveliThe thought of going back home hasn't hit me yet despite being reminded how many days we had left and such. I've had such a great time on this trip that I don't even want to go back home though I miss my family and friends. It's been quite the journey and I loved every minute of it ... even the times that I thought I would not get through. Anyways, we headed out early to try to avoid the long line ups esp with the departure fee that you have to pay before you check in. We had lots of ...

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada senorbrian... The weather in Edmonton Has finally took a turn for the better With temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. However It is bittersweet because with the warmer temperatures Have brought with them Poor air quality health warnings, Which prior to our recent "Booming economy" Was more of a problem you associated with cities like Toronto, I guess we've Sold our clean air and blue sky's for economic success and progress, As the Black gold Fattens our wallets and slowly taints each ...
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada senorbrian... I felt terrible like I had failed. It was really hard to find compassion for my body letting me down and my mind not being stronger. But in the end, I was able to come to a gentle conclusion that this too, was a part of my practice. And how I dealt with it was a test as well. Once I was able to accept that, I felt a lot better. And now it feels like a win. Grateful for tests.
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada whereshegoes... and even managed the complete backbend. So I guess I am not all the way back to the beginning after all. I was kinda out of sorts for the rest of the day though and I am not sure why. I was unfocused and spacey even taking a whole hour to pick out one pair of shorts. Indecision really annoys me. I am going to learn to flip a coin more. Or in the very least, ask myself, does it REALLY matter? Today I am grateful for calm.
