        After the disappointment at Lindsay in Oklahoma I travelled across Arkansas and spent a night with a contact in Tennessee. I left his place to head for the Interstate up through Kentucky, but before I got there I spotted this hall:

        Our train to Salt Lake, The California Zephyr was supposed to depart Union Station at 2:00pm. So, we decided to walk through Grant and Millennium Parks. The bean was such an incredible sculpture. We loved the way you could see the reflection of the city and repeated images of ourselves in the parabola of the bean. I would love to see a concert at the outdoor symphony location in millennium park - beautiful! It was a gorgeous day for ...

        Planned Route: Well….we would have been getting to the Grand Canyon!!

        Today would have been the day we got to see and stay at the Grand Canyon but our diversionary set back as a result of radiator repairs to Mac took us north instead. With a hire car sorted (didn't plan for one of those) we left Texas mid-afternoon and crossed through Oklahoma and Kansas to end in Nebraska - another 3 states under London’s belt on day 3.
