I got sick. Real sick. So instead of going into Washington DC the past two days I have been sleeping. And sleeping. Watching tv. More sleeping. Eating. Sleeping. You get the point.
I just woke up Thursday and my throat was all swollen, had a hard time breathing and my whole body ached. Threw up. Fever.
Pretty bummed because I had so much ...

... that is the same size or bigger is okay as well as the new style backpacks that have strings you sling over the shoulders. So when you check your backpack you have to remove the following items; wallet, cameras, cell phones, any other items you might want that afternoon or other electronics. Audrey was complaining about how hungry she was, so off to eat first. She couldn't help but think about leaving Rusty back home. She ...
Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States eightydazeAround 8pm and we just had dinner at the Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It is now only 39 degrees outside, quite the change from yesterday. We winterized the camper while we were waiting for our buzzer to light up. :-). Sami is getting much better with the camper. We only had to ...
Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States dmassoud... is also being restored. It has incredibly ornate plaster ceilings and wall decorations which were mainly made by hand - and restored in a similar manner. We were shown the type of casts used to make the individual plaster pieces, hundreds of them, that went into a ceiling. We spent the afternoon at the James Monroe (fourth president of USA) Museum which ...
Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States tomodea... for a period of 8 weeks. They are then cleaned of all the fat and oven roasted to order. I had this massive rib eye (Jim ordered it) with the American sides of creamed spinach and potatoes gratinee. Meat was cooked rare, and you could cut it with a fork. About an inch and a half thick, the whole steak must have weighed nearly a pound. Jennifer would have been in heaven. It is served with sour cream mixed with fresh horseradish and chopped chives. Had a Bombay ...
San Francisco, California, United States goliard... it is a tourist cafe, being so slose to the cemetery, it is actually really great to sit under the rubber trees and recieve awesome service from the old waiters that look like they have worked there all their lives. The cafe is popular as it used to be a stop for the cafe racers back in the 1950's. We had cafes and ice cream and they gave us free mini choclates with our bill. We headed back to our apartment to take a lil siesta before heading out to the Bar ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina djcynicHalloween was a beautiful, 70-degree day in D.C., so Monica and I were determined to take advantage of that. We stepped out of the frigid National Geographic building (on 17th and M by Farragut Square) into perfection, crossed the street to our favorite Indian restaurant and ordered mango lassis (shakes) to go. We just put out an India-heavy issue of Traveler (www.nationalgeographic.com/traveler), so everyone still kind of has India on the brain. We ...
