    Great spot with shuttle downtown, full breakfast included with accomadation. No problems

    ... and, because of the uniformity of it all, it feels like every airport belongs to this imaginary union. The eateries and trash cans all are the same, the chairs, the view of the airplanes and airport structures all with the same specialty tinted windows. Security is the same, this ambiguous space has it's own government and law enforcement. I am in a wormhole that may eventually take me to a real place. ...

    ... Managed to get my required purchases and then walked back to the hotel through a thunderstorm (cue giddiness).

    Dinner was a small affair -jetlag really screws with my appetite - and then to bed at 8.30pm which is a bit more like it.

    This update is finally being posted at 4am which is a marked improvement on 2.30am of yesterday.

    Meeting up with the rest of the crew tonight, and Sunday is looking good as a first chase day ...

    ... the train we passed a few hours viewing forests and hills with snowy mountains in the background before we got to the Rocky Mountains themselves. And Rockies are just fabulous! The train made its way through gorges, through mountain passes, alongside rivers, alongside deserted roads, alongside sheer cliffs that towered upwards. The rock formations were fascinating, just as we always imagined Colorado landscapes to be. In places the track wound around tight curves to follow ...
