... spots with some lovely parks and the beautiful Waikato river.

We had a brief recharge back at our hotel and then were invited to Aunty Ruth's for dinner where we caught up with James, Alan and Liz. Lots of new people for the girls to meet and we all had a great time telling stories and being generally loud. It has been many years since we have all caught up so great to be back in the right hemisphere to be able to do such things.

... Steph on the other hand decided a lesson was required. After a 20 minute talk and demonstration of how you 'pop' onto the board we then made it to the water to try again. ... It was low tide so we walked through the tunnel which revealed another smaller beach! We all just stood and stared for a minute, we couldn't believe this was in New Zealand! It looked so tropical and exotic! We sat on this smaller beach for about an hour, just chatting about travelling and about folk back home!
