More driving

Dad woke us up early as usual, at 7. We ate the "continental" (donut and coffee) breakfast and left for another long day of driving. We drove until we reached Kentucky Fried Chicken. That's where I finally realized we were actually in Missouri. The people looked like something straight out of What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Then we continued driving till we reached The Fantastic Caverns. It was really nice inside the cave. All the broken stallagmites made me think about how fragile nature really...

The Osmonds and Jim Stafford

Dad woke us up, yet one more time, to go and get the best donuts at breakfast, and then we went to a factory outlet mall and I got some green Hush Puppies and a new dress. When we came back we went to Penelope's for a buffet lunch. After that, we came back to our room, got changed and walked acoss the street for The Osmond Family show. I'm feeling really tired right now. I wonder why. (Dad?) Then we came back to the hotel and rested and then we went to go see Jim Stafford. And I went and got ...

Duck tour, driving home

Today, I was awoken by the clamouring of my dear, sweet parents packing to go home... at six in the morning. It's not like we had to go anywhere. We had to be at the "duck" tour at 10. So at 10, we boarded our bus that would later splash down into the lake. It was pretty cool, but the tour guide was just lame. After an hour and a half of rolling my eyes, we went and had lunch at McFarlan's. It was a really good restaurant but I wasn't very hungry. Too bad. Then we got in our car for the long ...

Pump Boys and the Dinettes

I finally got to sleep in today! Till like 8:30! Today we went to the mall which consisted of a Wal-Mart and a Comisso's. I got a new bathingsuit anyway. Then we drove to the famous Branson Winery. Good times. After that, we stopped in another factory outlet and purchased...nothing. We went back to our room and realized we had 15 minutes to change and get to our dinner show, The Pump Boys and the Dinettes. Fun. With one bathroom between five people. Yep. It was a pretty good show. Not flashy ...

3rd day in Branson

Our 3rd day in Bronson was a little low key after yesterdays 4 shows. We saw a tribute show to Red Skeleton by Tom Millica. I and Susie always liked Red Skeleton so really enjoyed the show.He did the old characters like sanfrando red a politician, and freddie the freeloader my favorite. In the afternoon we saw the Ripley's believe it or not museum and a IMAX show about the Ozarks. One of the jokes Red said ...

1st Day in Branson

... were staying at hotels and camper cabins, so don know where she got them. I heard they are making a comeback at motels. According the info I found, only some people show signs and are therefor allergic to them. I never had a single bite. I am only allergic to wasps. She got Benadryl, tylenol, and the Epson salts. Even bought eucclyptis oil from a snake oil saleslady in the mall. Helps but they dont heal fast. Any ideas from our fellow nurses or anybody who have been bitten by them?

Boat Day

Dear Blog,

We went to Table Rock Lake and Uncle Chuck rented a pontoon boat that we could all ride on. Once we were out of the no wake zone we gunned it and found a calm spot. I got onto the tube that was tied onto the back of the boat. The tube ride was a very bumpy and I almost fell out a couple of times. I rode on the tube twice. Everyone in the group except Uncle Chuck and Aunt Amy rode on the tube. My mom and Chris fell off ...

Travel Day

Dear Blog,

We made the from the hotel in Baltimore to the Red Elk Lodge in Branson. We woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning. We waited in the lobby of the hotel to catch the 4:30 bus from the hotel to the airport. Our flight left on time suprisingly, and we landed in Atlanta for our four hour lay over. I kept myself busy, and we left for Branson on time. When we arrived at Branson airport and we thought ...

Titanic, Noah and shopping

... like Leo. They offer an audio tour for an extra $5, but we passed on it this time since we had already done it and we were short on time. I always enjoy this type of museum. The Titanic story intrigues me, and they also had a new exhibit of things from the movie, which was not there before. When we left the museum, the line to get it was a lot longer than before, so go early if you can. After a quick lunch at a local MacDonald's, we met the guys ...
