... is where the fires swept through, the town itself is ok but there is a burnt smell everywhere and as we set off to do our first bit of exploring of the park it was nothing but depressing. Miles and miles of burnt trees. We entered the park only to find most of it closed because of the fires and then it started hailing!! Dinner was had at a family restaurant across the road--Talapia for Sylvia and meatloaf for me. Quite enjoyable.Tomorrow we’re heading north towards the California / Oregon border.
