... I'll be updating this blog as often as possible and suspect I'll be writing more after leaving Parana and am traveling solo. There's plenty to talk about but will try not to bore you all. It was definitely an... experience... trying to use it. The roomettes on trains are called "roomettes" for a reason. They are tiny. And by tiny, I mean that there is enough room for a bed about 3/4 the width of a twin bed and not much else.

So, given the size of the room, I am ...

Missing out on Miami

... we'd want to spend any time there having just got off a plane. It's thronged with people drinking beer from plastic beakers and all the restaurants are tacky chain affairs - Hooters et al - that have over an hour's wait for a table. Dejected we slope back to the hotel and order burgers, fish tacos and some wine in the bar.

It's 11.30 by the time we fall into bed, saying silent prayers that Paul's camera equipment - and Eleanor's wardrobe! - will be waiting for us when we awake. ...
