        ... load up front by about 1,000 lbs and made a huge difference in our ability to handle large seas. This made a world of difference when we encountered 7-8 foot waves that were closely spaced when we crossed the Gulf Stream.

        ... sand, a far cry from the chilly rain in Juneau that is common this time of year. It's a good thing i don't smoke pot* or do cocaine because i may have been tempted to buy the wares one gentleman was offering to me, the first of three such offers while visiting the Bahamas. We walked on down past most of the people and settled on a little patch of sand where we unfurled our towels and began to bask....
