... REI. Got some really nice jackets and a few other items.

We weren't able to catch the Germany vs. France match and by all accounts it was the most exciting of the cup so far. Fortunately friends were watching and kept us up to date. We did make it to the hotel in time to see the US beat China for a spot in the semi final.

Now we're sorting through stuff to separate what needs to come with us to the Noordham and what stays in Ruby. Fun!

... an opportunity to travel to Europe find a different airport, then Heathrow. We had an hour and 10 minute layover at this airport this was not enough time. We had actually arrived approximately 10 minutes earlier than anticipated. We were not able to make it to one of the dates and had to offload the plane on the tarmac. Heathrow brought out buses so that we could disembark the plane. Alex and I happened to be in one of the ...

... room, so I had to leave my luggage with Monique* in her room. My mom was finally able to board the ship as a visitor, so I met up with her and showed her around. She was able to see a lot of the behind the scenes areas and I brought her to the crew bar/recreation room and pool/deck area. Horizon's wasn’t open yet and we were hungry so she got to experience the oh-so-lovely food at the staff mess (later we got real food from Horizons luckily). Eventually it ...
