Our accommodation is just down the road from the La Brea Tar Pits so that was our first stop.     ... We are spending one night at the Georgian hotel, which is a vintage sort of Art Deco place right on ocean boulevard looking over the Pacific Ocean and close to the Santa Monica Pier.     Great nights sleep at the Jolly Roger Hotel, woke up at 6.40!! After a quick brekkie we headed down to Venice Beach and hired a couple of bikes and cycled right along the front to Santa Monica.....fantastic!!! Amazing beach, at least 9 miles long!!!!! There's a great cycle path and a path for runners/walkers and skaters!! Loads of people working out on the beach.....a really great ...
