... of eight from there to the hotel in their minivan.

The trams are great: clean, cheap, and all electric. The city of Geneva (from what I could see) was really clean too, with recycling bins everywhere there's a rubbish bin. The water here even tastes like New Zealand water! The hotel is really nice too, with big modern rooms. Definitely nice to have some space after ...

Woke up to another beautiful day. Hotel Pavillon had been excellent and a great place to relax for the night. Dinner was a 5 course meal with great wine to celebrate harriet's birthday. There are also steps that eventually branch off into smaller staircases that through little streets between residential houses. Very cute and romantic and we took our time getting down.

ow I know where Lyon street in San Francisco (which is about 4 blocks of steps through a residential neighborhood) ...

... n.b. Strava is Facebook for cyclists).

Sunday morning dawned and it was still raining. We had planned the next leg of our trip to drive back to Annecy, over two days, to drop off the campervan and catch a train to Paris. So off we went, and the rain followed us. So we kept driving, first to Bordeaux, then Clermont-Ferrand, where we intended to find a camp ground to stop for the night. Trouble was, ...
