Really Anaheim city why not take the visit to this city.
Anaheim, California, United States adamsprinces... Actually, we survived the Madera visit without mishap and traveled Hwy 99 to Fresno before cutting back to I-5 on Hwy 41. Along the interior of Oregon and, now, also in California we were seeing complete devastation of the area as a result of drought. There was NO green to be found in anything except the trees and many of them looked a bit troubled. We passed several signs along the way saying, "Congress Created Dust Bowl Area" and still don’t ...
Mission Viejo, California, United States dlpool... later, we realized that Erin may still need our help at the home front, so we trekked the last few miles to Jackpot Jan's. We arrived just in the nick of time to rescue the beautiful maidens from their afternoon of boredom and hard work and to tie 200 sashes and move 200 chairs and pour all the wine and admire the new bar that Opee built. That was our Thursday story. Believe it or not, on Friday we ...
Mission viejo, California, United States jillflorantWell, we have been living in Ladera Ranch, California just over a month now and we're really loving it! The sunny weather, friendly people and gorgeous beaches are everything we had hoped for... We had my parents come down and visit, and it was really nice to spend time with them and show them our new casa and way of life. Last week, we had Tony's mom Rosie come and stay with us, and that changed things a bit for the next few weeks.... I've always been ...
Mission Viejo, California, United States travellinlunasWe spent the start of our last day in the U.S.A. having breakfast with a group of World War II or Korean War Veterans who live in the community. These men meet each Friday morning and drive to one of two favourite cafes. It was fun watching the camaraderie and chipping between these old friends. Back at Bill and Dorothy's we spent some more time on family history then were amazed ...
Mission Viejo, California, United States tomodeaBill is a retired Disney employee. He took us to Disneyland and showed us around. The weather was perfect, sunny and mild. It was wonderful to be with someone who knew his way around the place; and could take us in as his guests. It was delightful to see so ...
Mission Viejo, California, United States tomodeaDisneyland - can we say EXCITED much!! We loved Disneyland, loved the shops, loved the kids rides, loved the general Disneyness of it. Also had some fine feasts....Denny's - the best and a sub store that Erin adored that shut down in Aussie...can not for the life of me remember the name right now. Next stop... Adelaide :(
Anaheim, California, United States zanstravelsI'm writing this entry from a Starbucks inside LA Airport (LAX), where the coffee was surprisingly drinkable. It's around 8:20pm here, and I've been drifting from nearly falling asleep one second, and complete wakefulness the next, for most of the afternoon. Hopefully this coffee has helped. After the last post on my blog, I went back to the resort, where I met two absolutely lovely English girls, who were there on ...
Los Angeles, United States daridah... twee Tudor style touristy town. It still retains a lovely friendly feel to it though. We checked into our hostel and found that it had previously been a Presbyterian Manse! We chilled in this lovely hostel which is more like a European B&B and then headed out to the Sow's Ear for a delicious meal, including gorgeous bread served (and baked) in a flowerpot! We stayed up late and watched the skies to see Mars pass as close to the Earth as any of us will ever see. Day 302 Sunday ...
Los Angeles, California, United States skcoll... would be the minging aeroplane food (the first AA have given us - they needn't have bothered!) and the extremely stroppy air hostess who huffed and puffed all the way to Hawaii, great service!! Actually I've just remembered why the journey went quickly now....I slept most of the way! Whenever they put a good film on a flight ('Finding Nemo in this case - still don't know if they actually did or not!!), that I really want to stay awake for, it's a dead cert that I will be snoring away soon enough! I'll go and enjoy Hawaii now then if you don't mind? :)
