    ... I spent the afternoon at the excellent "Hartley's Crocodile Adventures". It’s a cross between a circus, a breeding farm and a zoo. Its entertaining and you learn stuff. If you have a day to kill I highly recommend. They are a crocodile farm, so crocs are bread for their hide, (well where do you think those crocodile handbags and shoes came from hmmm?) and their meat. As it was explained to us after the war, the crocs where almost hunted ...

    ... br> At Malanda we visited the chocolate and cheese factory which was something we hadn't experienced for a little while. This region is home to Lumholtz’s Tree-kangaroo. They are less than 500mm tall but have long straight tails that are about 740mm long. The Millaa Millaa Falls were very pretty and the visiting backpackers enjoyed cooling off under the waterfalls.

    ... for our hire car company straight away. We have a little Kia Rio to drive around in - very nice. We drove straight to our hotel, where we were delighted to find we'd been upgraded to a suite. After freshening up we went to the Horizons Club Room where we were able to help ourselves to sparkling wine (Hardy's), beer, steamed pork buns,samosas, teriyaki chicken, cheese and crackers etc. - we didn't need dinner ...

    ... laundry basket and remake
    the bed with clean. Brian washed the sheets so we did not have time to dry
    them. Ah, communications. We left the sheets on dry racks down stairs
    so that the appliances could be turned off.
    BTW, every outlet has an off on switch everywhere in Australia. As we are getting ready to go, we see the
    ferry land and take off – and it was only 7:30.

    ... so we drove into Cairns Central which is a huge shopping centre with everything you could need. All three ladies made a purchase while Leigh made many a use of the Dad/husband chairs near the front of the stores.

    After that it was just relaxing and tea. We didn’t even take a photo today but it was great to recharge the batteries for another big adventure ...
