... a bit out of our range. Went to the Marina and Greg shouted a round of drinks - he nearly had to get a bank loan, but it was nice. Headed back to Cairns, it has started to rain. Tonight will be a bit cooler at least. Tomorrow we are having the St Arnaud Lions Club meeting with Murray & Helen, Graeme, Greg & Di and us. Then hopefully a quite day Thursday & Friday before we head off on Saturday ...

... all the restaurant prices are inflated, its really quite amazing considering how many people are eating out, most of the restaurants were packed last night.

Back to the hotel and off to bed, today seems to have been long and I am getting a bit tired of all the driving, not that I am doing any of it but just sitting in the car for long stretches, it just gets very tiring, not to mention my knee is being difficult. We are off to Kuranda Sky Rail tomorrow and so ends day 6! ...

We walked our fellow travellers the short distance back to their hotel before crashing out for the night ourselves. Written by ...

... we arrived the itching had reduced considerably, so another strip down in the car park and another application of the Doc's Magic cream and I was set for the day, what a relief. The historic village is the dream of one man to save and restore as much of the history of this area as he possibly can which meant he, with the help of many volunteers and lots of donation and the purchase of many building and items from steam engines ...

The So-So Barrier Reef & The Floating Infirmary

... diving deck it seemed more like an infirmary. You could hardly find the kit through all of the sick people. I've never had to kit up next to someone with their head in a vomit bag before. The dive was quite unspectacular. There was some decent coral in the very shallow water, but a lot of dead coral on the sea bed. My buddy, Aussie Evan, with huge camera and lights was the slowest person I have ever dived with. Great, as I was freezing. ...
