... in a cabin, made a nice change. Decided to go in to town to grab a bite to eat, but everything was closing, so we settled for a hotdog from an American street vendor! ... have now re-located to be even more visually present, in every sense, to the citizens and visitors of Cairns as we spend some time each evening weaving a creative path through quite unmistakable indicators of bat territory.

Despite this, I am feeling confident.

My steps are slow, cautious and precise and I am hunched protectively over my puddings while my little bag containing phone, wallet and ipod immediately succumbs to the onslaught of wetness.
